To advise the client on the most effective ways of building partnerships and developing a multi-stakeholder project with public sector organisations and higher education providers.
To consult the client on taking her initial idea through to project delivery, e.g. gap analysis, project and partnership formation, product development.
To consult on the project’s implementation with an aim to introduce a specialist subject ‘Fashion marketing’ to fashion design and marketing and communications students.
I worked with the client combining consulting and mentoring. Based on her idea, we conducted a gap analysis and stakeholder mapping and agreed the stakeholder engagement strategy. I also worked with her to outline a project plan and consulted her throughout its delivery. I also worked with the client through a series of mentoring sessions to support her during the negotiation stages of the project.
The client successfully partnered with two leading Czech universities.
As a result, the partnership project piloted the subject ‘Fashion marketing’. After the successful pilot, it was launched as a fully accredited subject in both universities.
Development of successful collaboration between fashion industry experts and higher education. Through effective mentoring, promoted dialogue needed to embed an interdisciplinary education fit for today’s market needs.
